Ann Curry
Ann Curry has worked as journalist for more than more than 45 years. She focuses her reporting on natural disasters and conflict zones. Curry reported on conflicts that raged in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry, (born November 19th 1956, Agana American journalist, television anchor and news reporter. She is most famous for her role as a correspondent on the Today show, a news morning show that was telecast by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry was renowned for her coverage of the humanitarian crisis in war-ravaged countries as well as on natural disasters. Curry's mom is Japanese as is her father, who was another American Naval Sailor. Her father dated his mother in Japan when he was a stationed there after World War II. They were frequently on the move because of the service of her dad in the military. They eventually settled in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. Curry graduated from high school in 1978 and earned the degree of Bachelor's in Journalism from the University of Oregon. The diversity of her experiences and experiences during her upbringing likely influenced her empathetic way of communicating on issues of international significance. They moved frequently, so Curry did not remain in the same school for over two years traveling to various locations like San Diego Alameda Oregon and Virginia. Ashland was her final high school. Her first job led to a lucrative career by working as an intern in broadcasting for KTVL Channel 10 Medford. The first female news correspondent at this station when she was just 22. Following that, she went onto becoming an anchor and reporter at KGW which is the NBC affiliate station located in Portland. Four years later she moved to Los Angeles and became a reporter for KCBS TV. During her six-year association with the station, she won 2 Emmy Awards.
